The province of Ontario has released new invitations to apply a provincial nomination for permanent residence to Express Entry candidates through its skilled trade’s stream.

Those who all applied their express entry profile between March 21, 2018, and March 21, 2019, the Ontario immigrant nominee program (OINP) issued 361 invitations in March 21 draw to eligible candidates.

The federal Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s leading economic immigration categories —the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.

The main three economic immigration categories are managed by the federal Express Entry System are-The Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.

The Skilled Trades Stream allows the OINP to look the Express Entry pool for Federal skilled worker class and Canadian expertise class candidates presently living in Ontario who has a minimum of one year full-time work expertise, or the equivalent in part-time work, in Ontario in a skilled trade listed in Minor Group 633 or Major Group 72, 73, or 82 under Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC).

Candidates require no job offer to apply through the skilled trades, but they should satisfy all the necessary federal and provincial requirements mentioned by the OINP.


An extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points will be granted to those candidates who got nominated for Canadian permanent residence through the skilled trade’s stream. They are guaranteed an Invitation to Apply for Canadian permanent residence with the help of the Express Entry system.


732 invitations have been issued by the OINP to the Express Entry Candidates under the Skilled Trades Stream in 2019.
